CONDITIONS OF SALE

  1. The Highest bidder for each lot will be the purchaser thereof

2. Bidding will be in sterling with advances in the following stages :-

Up to £5 in steps of 10p £20 to £50 in steps of £1

£5 to £10 in steps of 25p Over £50 in steps of £5
£10 to £20 in steps of 50p

3. ‘Buy’ bids are not acceptable.

4. Figures quoted against each lot are reserves and not estimates.
Please note that it is pointless submitting bids below the reserve since this is the lowest

acceptable bid and anything below this will be ignored.


5. All lots will be knocked down to the top bidder at one step over the second highest bid, and in

the case of identical bids the lot will go to the first bid received.

6. As there can be no postal viewing members may reject any lot as mis-described if returned

within 48 hours of receipt, providing that such lot(s) is/are returned in the same condition as
when mailed..
Photocopies are available at 10p each plus postage.

7. The Society will take 10% commission on the sale price which will be credited to Society
funds. Minimum charge per lot is 10p.

DESPATCH OF LOTS TO PURCHASERS.

Postage & packing will be charged at cost to purchasers.

All sendings are insured and in respect of overseas despatches they are sent by

registered post except for sendings to EU, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand &

South Africa valued under £50.

PAYMENT

All successful bids to be settled within 10 days of receipt of invoice.

Cheques to be made payable to ‘Society of Olympic Collectors’.

Payment in sterling is preferred but payment is acceptable in US$ (checks or bills) but please add US$5 to cover bank charges in the UK. If settling by Giro please add

£2.50 to cover similar charges.
